Mentoring: Be Who You Are!

The greatest gift you have to offer a young person is your genuine interest in their life and your willingness to listen attentively to them. You are a wonderful source of knowledge and support. You have a wide range of life experiences that you can share through mentoring. Impact Mentoring can help you share your experience and talents with a young person from your community.
Your Impact
By becoming a volunteer mentor, you will help a young person define his or her goals and find ways to achieve them. As a mentor, you will:
- Encourage positive choices
- Promote high self-esteem
- Support academic achievement
- Share in fun activities
- Expose vulnerable youth to new experiences and expand their world view
Mentor Support
When volunteering with Impact Mentoring, you’ll be part of a team committed to helping a young person reach his or her full potential. You’ll receive training and dedicated support from our experienced staff.
Your Commitment
As a mentor, you will invest one hour of time per week for at least one year. Additionally, mentors participate in recreational and community involvement activities with their mentees, helping them learn the value of community engagement and understand that anyone, regardless of their background, has inherent strengths that can create positive changed in their community.
